Editor's Note

It is hard to believe that we are here, standing at the first of what I'm sure will be many fabulous issues crafted by young artists and writers worldwide. This magazine grew as a way to recognize those who are usually resigned to the shadows, unable to receive the praise their work so highly deserves. With the release of this issue, I'm thrilled that we are beginning to change this.

I want to extend my gratitude to our wonderful editors without whom this issue would not be possible. My deepest thanks go to Ash Pierce, our managing editor, for compiling this issue so beautifully and seamlessly.

From the wonderful images evoked through Chrysanne Ho's "WE HOLD THE SUN IN OUR FISTS" to the avant-garde ocular wonder that is Courtney Pride's "Rivergrid Bundle," we have a superb issue that shows what young artists are crafting.

Finally, I want to thank all of our contributors and everyone who submitted their work for this first issue. While we weren't able to accept everyone's work, we were truly impressed with the slate of submissions we received.
